The Kuwait National Museum includes the Heritage Museum, the Archaeological Museum, Boom AlMuhallab & the Planetarium. The collection exhibited in the museum portrays the rich history of Kuwait and includes the art collection of Al-Sabah family, the collection of dhows, & the archeological findings in Failaka reflect the complexity of Kuwait history.
The Heritage Museum highlights the importance of Kuwait history from the very first days of its founding. A trip through this section will take you on a journey through Kuwait’s history. The Archaeological Museum displays artifacts found on archeological sites such as the Failaka Island; including the fossils & artifacts from the Hellenistic era. Damaged during the Gulf War in 1990, the Planetarium was rebuilt in the early 2000s, and was upgraded with fulldome capabilities along with Uniview to enable state of the art interactive storytelling in a 3D environment.
